Barbara Ann Stoetzel (Drake)

August 24, 1936 — June 30, 2021

Barbara Ann Stoetzel (Drake) passed away peacefully while under hospice care with HPH on June 30, 2021 in Brooksville, Florida at the age of 84. Born on August 24, 1936 in Syracuse to the late Albert and Ellen Drake,
Barbara graduated from North Syracuse High School and worked for Martin Marietta until her retirement in 1995.

After retiring, Barbara enjoyed bingo, camping, and traveling to Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. In her later years, she discovered a love for estate sales, cooking, and viewing food channels for inspiration. She had an infectious smile and fantastic personality. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Kris M. Stoetzel (Christine) of North Syracuse and Jon I. Stoetzel of Brooksville, Florida; along with four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband; Donald I. Stoetzel in 2003; a son Mark W. Stoetzel in 2010; and her partner, Frank S. Johnston in 2020.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale, with a Service following at 7:00 PM.
