Thomas E. Johnson, 70, lifelong resident of Pennellville, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026. Thomas was born in Fulton and was the son of the late Paul and Goldie Johnson. He attended JCB High School in Phoenix as part of the class of 1973.
Following high school, Thomas took the helm of “Johnson Dairy Farm,” a family-owned dairy farm in Pennellville, which he operated with dedication throughout his career. His passion for farming was evident in his commitment to maintaining a fleet of tractors, a testament to his hard work and love for the land. He was a true movie aficionado with a deep appreciation for classic films, westerns, sci fi, and historical cinema. He loved hosting family events at the farm – family reunions, sledding parties, pony rides, and wagon rides for all. Thomas was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Buffalo Bills. He attended Pennellville United Methodist Church.
Thomas is survived by his sister, Elizabeth “Sis” Johnson of Phoenix; a niece, Katie (Derrick) Backus of Mexico; two nephews, Joshua Dix of Phoenix and Adam Dix of Syracuse; and two great nieces, Madison Dix and Taylor Backus.
Contributions in Thomas' memory may be made to the Pennellville United Methodist Church, 389 County Rte 54, Pennellville, NY 13132.
