Timothy M. Austin

Timothy M. Austin, 54, lifelong resident of Mattydale, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 19, 2025. He attended Cicero North Syracuse High School with the class of 1985 and worked as a self-employed painter for most of his life.

Tim was known for his drawing skills especially his famous “turtle” and he enjoyed fishing on Otisco Lake. He was a jokester and could make friends with anyone. His family was his pride. Tim was an amazing partner, son, father, brother, uncle and g-pa. No tears could amount to him being missed. A piece of our hearts will be with him always.

He was predeceased by his father, Carl Austin, his aunt, Connie, and by two nephews Andy and baby Vic who passed away tragically in a house fire.

Tim is survived by beloved partner of 20 years, Ericka Argy; his mother, Merri Austin of Florida; four daughters: Nicole (K.K.) Guthman of Syracuse, Savannah Lewis of Syracuse, Grace Austin of Mattydale, Caroleanah Austin at home and stepdaughter, Tristyn Argy of Syracuse. He was G-pa to Ja’Vonni Martin; a brother to Carl Vicker Austin of Syracuse, Tammy (Dale) Gau and Kimberly (Denis) Lazo, both of Florida; and an uncle to several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Monday from 3:00 – 5: 00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. A Service of Remembrance will begin at 5:00 pm.
