Toni J. Houde

Toni J. Houde, 75, a cherished presence in the lives of her family, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025. Born on October 13, 1949, in Syracuse to the late Buck and Mary Pendock, Toni was raised on the North and South side of Syracuse.

Toni worked at Snowflake Pastries in Syracuse for several years. She raised her children and was the glue of her family who will be deeply missed. She was an avid card player who loved spades and pinochle. Toni enjoyed bowling mostly at Strike N Spares Lanes and traveling throughout the U.S. She was the self-proclaimed "coupon shopping queen" always on the lookout for the best deals. Toni was a former communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale and St. Philip the Apostle in Lancaster, PA.

Toni was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Michael Houde, Sr. in 2015. She leaves behind her beloved children: Marlene (Josh Haywood) Houde of Naples, FL, Michael (Jennifer) Houde, Jr. of Mattydale, and Charles (Jessica) Houde of Lancaster, PA; her five brothers: Vincent "Bo", Charles, Wayne, Richard, and Robert Pendock; and a sister, Joann Schmiegel. She was the proud grandmother of Sarah Miller, Dylan Hough, Vanesa, Alyssa, Mya, and Olivia Houde; and great-grandmother to Hayley and Hudson Miller.

Friends may call on Thursday, May 1, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale. A prayer service will begin on Friday at 9:15 AM at the funeral home with a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Margaret’s Church following. Entombment will be at Woodlawn Mausoleum, Syracuse.
