Tony Nicoletti, 64, of East Syracuse, passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Tony grew up in the Ira, NY area. He was a 1979 graduate of Cato Meridian High School and attended Alfred University. Tony co-owned and operated Nicoletti Custom Kitchens with his father and brother for over 40 years. He was a gifted, talented cabinetmaker and woodworker that was respected and praised by his peers. He also worked in construction with Hayner Hoyt where he was involved in many Syracuse University projects over a 14-year period including the Carmello Anthony Building, the Carrier Dome, the VIP Lounge and Jim Boeheim’s private office.
Tony enjoyed riding his Harley, building models, and scuba diving. He was a family man that took great pride in his daughter and grandson and would relax by cutting firewood with his brother Dino in the woods. Tony was a great friend who was very giving and willing to help anyone that was in need. His loss will be felt by all who knew him or crossed his path.
Tony was predeceased by his father, Anthony, his second mom, Maria, his first wife, Karen, and a brother, Dino.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, the former Pamela (Zellers); his daughter, Victoria (Robert Maine) Nicoletti of East Syracuse; two grandchildren, Anthony and Mila; his parents, Onorita and Ron Chebiniak of Jacksonville, FL; five siblings: Mary Susan (Dan) Nicoletti-Watson of Cato, Carmel (Karl) Nicoletti of Syracuse, Dona Watkins of Rochester, Lisa Samkoff of New York City, Eric Ianuzzi of CT, and several nieces and nephews including his Godson, Seth.
Friends may call on Monday from 3:00 -7:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial following in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
