Mary A. Treinin

Mary A. (Lando) Treinin, 65, life resident of Syracuse, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 12 at University Hospital. Mary was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Laratta) Lando born on August 11, 1954. She was a graduate from Corcoran High School in 1972 and later attended Lepontos Beauty School. She resided in the Valley area.

Before raising her family, Mary worked for 14 years as a security guard at the MONY building in Syracuse. She showed prize winning horses for many years at the NYS Fair and other events. Mary was a longtime member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Syracuse. She enjoyed music, movies, reading, singing, traveling and most importantly time with her family and friends.

Mary is survived by her husband of 36 years, Sheldon Treinin; two daughters, Michele (Jeremiah) Jacobson of Cicero and MaryMargaret "Maggie" Treinin; a brother, Joseph Lando of Syracuse; 2 beagles, Oliver and Buckley; and 3 granddogs, Finnegan, Firefly, and Lilly.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 -7:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. A Prayer Service will begin on Thursday, 9:15 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts Ave, Syracuse, NY 13207. Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery, Nedrow.
