Patricia S. VanBenthuysen, 68, lifelong resident of Mattydale, passed away Tuesday, September 1st at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a 1964 graduate of North Syracuse High and was the daughter of the late J. Victor and H. Virginia (Nuffer) Bissonette.
Pat retired in 2014 after 17 years as a billing representative for Rural Metro. She enjoyed reading, baking, gardening and collecting her Hummel figurines. Pat grew up singing in her church choir. Her love for singing continued into recent years although her favorite past time was spending time with her six grandchildren.
Patricia is survived by her three children: William (Janice) of Valparaiso, IN, Jeffrey and Erin VanBenthuysen, both of Mattydale; a brother: Peter Bissonette of Baldwinsville; and six grandchildren: Jennifer, Gabrielle, Aidan, Jack, Calvin, and Ty.
Friends may call on Saturday, September 19th, from 10 am -12 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with burial following in White Chapel Memory Gardens.
