Curth ?Curt? J. Wilber, 57, of Mattydale died Monday at his home. Curt was a native of Syracuse and resided in Mattydale for 30 years. He was the son of the late Paul J. and Doris Wilber.
Curt was a 1969 graduate of West Genesee High and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated C.W. Transport as a RV transporter for Caps & Campers, RV Way, as well as for private individuals. For the past 5 years, he has been a rehabilitation specialist for ARISE. Curt was a race car enthusiast and enjoyed watching his son race in ESTA Safety Park. He frequented the local car shows including the Syracuse Nationals. Curt attended St. Paul?s Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife of 33years, the former Carol A. Cummings; his two children: Lori & Scott Wilber, both at home; two sisters: Roberta Wilber of Manlius, and Paulette Ron Appleton of NJ; several nieces and nephews; and one ?grandcat.?
Friends may call Friday from 5-8 pm at Krueger Funeral Home Inc., 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, followed by a funeral service at 8:00pm. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to either the Mattydale Volunteer Fire Dept., 173 East Molloy Road, Mattydale NY 13211 or the S P. C. A., 5875 East Molloy Road, Mattydale NY 13211.
