Muriel J. (Solomon) Wilcox, 95, of Elderwood at Birchwood Health Center in Liverpool, died Wednesday night. She was the daughter of Austin Solomon and Margaret McGuire. A native of Lucknow, Ontario Canada, Muriel resided on Trelign Drive in North Syracuse for many years before moving to Birchwood in 2007.
Muriel was the former owner and operator of Wilcox Travel Agency from 1967 through 1972.
Muriel was predeceased by her husband, Henry T. Wilcox, Sr. in 2004.
She is survived by his two sons, Henry T. (Sharon) Wilcox, Jr., of Liverpool, and Christopher R. Wilcox, of North Syracuse; a sister: Marjorie Solomon, of Lucknow, Ontario; her three grandchildren; and three great grandsons.
Services will be private at the request of the family. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
