William “Bill” Kalinowski, 73, of Cicero, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025, at home surrounded by his loved ones. Bill received his Bachelor’s degree in Divinity from Wadhams Hall Seminary College in Ogdensburg, NY, before entering St. John Vianney Seminary in East Aurora, NY.
Bill retired in 2018 after 12 years as an aid to adults with developmental disabilities. He also served in various positions with Child Protective Services, the Onondaga County Justice Center and Columbus McKinnon Corp. Bill enjoyed the great outdoors while fishing, boating, playing pickleball, and bird watching. He also kayaked and was a member of Kanawake Canoe & Kayak Club. Bill studied Tai Chi and Tae Kwon Do and took part in the farm at the Cicero NOPL Library. He was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church in Mattydale where he served as an usher and a eucharistic minister.
Bill was predeceased by his wife of 25 years, the former Kathy (Jazdzyk) in 1999, and their infant son, Billy in 1985. He was also predeceased by his parents, Sigismund and Blanche Kalinowski, and two sisters, Christine Orlando and Rebecca Smolen.
He is survived by two daughters, Vanessa Kalinowski and Jessica (Ric) Martinez, all of Cicero; a brother, Gregory (Joanne) Kalinowski of Elma, NY; his brother-in-law, George Orlando of Paeonian Springs, VA; several nieces and nephews; and his grand-dogter, Eva.

Friends may call on Thursday, October 23rd, from 4:00 -7:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Prayer Services will begin on Friday, October 24th 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret’s Church, 203 Roxboro Road, Mattydale. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
