Matthew E. "Matty" Wojtalewski

Matthew "Matty" E. Wojtalewski, 85, life resident of Syracuse, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 at University Hospital. Matty attended Transfiguration School and resided in Paul Ave for the past 28 years. He was the son of the late Antoni and Mary (Topielarska) Wojtalewski.
Matt was a US Army Veteran who retired in 1992 after 35 years as an assembler at the Hoffman Air and Filtration Company in Syracuse. He was a charter member of the American Legion General Pulaski Post #1650 in Syracuse. Matty was an avid fisherman who had a fishing pole in his hand any chance he got and attended Blessed Sacrament Church in Eastwood.
Matt is survived by his wife of 38 years, the former Patricia Woods; two children: Matthew Wojtalewski, Jr. of Baldwinsville and Cynthia Rogers of Ohio; two step-daughters; two sisters, Mary Wojtalewski and Virginia Rhodes; and by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
