Kevin G. Yerdon, 57, lifelong resident of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015. Kevin was a 1976 graduate of Solvay High School and a US Air Force veteran. He worked as a chef for many years at various local restaurants including the Wyndham. Previously, he worked at Wegmans on James Street as a baker. Kevin will always be remembered as having a big heart and an infectious smile. He was an avid SU and Minnesota Vikings fan but above all else, he loved his family and grandchildren. Kevin was a former member of St. Daniel's Church in Lyncourt.
Kevin is survived by his loving companion, Karen Page; two children: Serena (Gary) Bombard of Cicero and Brandon Yerdon of Lyncourt; a step son, Corey Cook of Syracuse; his parents, George and Jean (Cooper) Yerdon formerly of Lyncourt; five siblings: Daryl (Carl Doremus) Yerdon of Milford, NH, Brian (Susan) Yerdon of Syracuse, Lori (Ron) Bosket of Syracuse, Kim (David) Mineker of Baldwinsville, and Chris Yerdon of Liverpool; his four grandchildren: Alexis, Sean, Alana, and Adalyn; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Sunday, December 6, from 1-4 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. A Funeral Service will follow at 4 pm with full Military Honors.
